Build Better Movement Before Simply Chasing More Speed

SAQ training develops how an athlete accelerates, stops, changes direction, and reacts — the movement quality that makes speed usable in a game.

What we develop

Movement quality first

Speed is more than running fast — it's controlling the body through acceleration, deceleration, and change of direction.

By stage

Development that fits the athlete

Age ranges are general guidance for how sessions are emphasized — not rigid eligibility rules.

Foundations

≈ ages 6–8

Coordination, balance, rhythm, body control, and enjoyment.

Developing Athletes

≈ ages 9–12

Movement technique, acceleration, stopping, direction changes, reaction, and sport application.

Adolescent Athletes

≈ ages 13+

More advanced mechanics, repeatable movement quality, sport-specific speed, and measurable performance development.

IYCA Certified Speed & Agility Specialist (CSAS)

Training is guided by youth-specific speed and agility methodology through the International Youth Conditioning Association. Sessions emphasize age-appropriate movement quality and body control, not adult training models applied to kids.

Sessions emphasize

  • Age-appropriate warm-up and movement prep
  • Deceleration and stopping control
  • Change of direction and reaction
  • Running mechanics and coordination
Training focuses on movement quality, body control, and deceleration mechanics through age-appropriate athletic development. Apex Player does not provide medical care or claim injury prevention; outcomes vary and are not guaranteed.
